Capital City 4th of July Family Celebration

Helena’s free family event will include patriotic music to begin the celebration along with contemporary music by the Dan Henry Band following the events program. The Pledge of Allegiance will led by a member of the Daughters of the Revolutionary, our national anthem will be led by a Helena student, and a Native American song will be performed by the Magpie Drummers.  

The arrival of a 30’x50’ Flag will be on a Montana DNRC helicopter, and Boy Scouts Troop 214 and veterans will carry Old Glory to the flagpole to be raised above Centennial Park. The event will be MC’d by past Helena Mayor Jim Smith, and an address speaking to the 250th anniversary of our nation and Helena’s history will be given by current Helena Mayor Emily Dean.
Bounce houses and the balloon man will be on hand for the kids to enjoy, and free hot dogs and root beer floats will be available throughout the celebration.
