East Helena 250th Anniversary Fireworks

  • American Chemet 1 Smelter Road, East Helena, MT 59601, United States (map)

For nearly seven decades, the East Helena Fireworks Show has brought families together under the Fourth of July sky. What began in 1957 as a Veterans of Foreign Wars community effort has continued through the dedication of local leaders and the generosity of residents and businesses who refused to let the tradition fade.

As we prepare to celebrate 250 years of American independence, we have the opportunity to make this year’s display one of the most meaningful in our community’s history.

This event is not funded by tax dollars. It exists entirely because of voluntary contributions from people who believe in preserving a shared tradition — a night where neighbors gather, children look up in awe, and generations celebrate together.

Our 2026 goal is $100,000 to safely produce and expand this milestone celebration.

If this tradition has meant something to you or your family, we invite you to help light the sky once again.

Together, we will celebrate 250 years of freedom — and ensure this community tradition continues for generations to come.
